SPIRIT Tea is an American tea company dedicated to sourcing an uncommon selection of handmade teas. All of our teas are seasonally curated selections that feature no fruits, flowers, flavorings, or sweeteners. Just the natural beauty of the tea plant.
Daliensis Silver Needle :: White
This extremely rare, early spring silver needle is plucked from a big-leaved, wild species of the tea plant native to Southern China, Camellia Daliensis. Harvested in the Pu-er region of Yunnan this wondrous, subtle selection features notes of gentle cinnamon spice, hay, sweetgrass, and vanilla frosting with an enticingly creamy mouthfeel.
Notes of Vanilla Frosting, Hay, and Sweetgrass.
Black Pearl :: Oolong/Black
This tea combines the complex oxidation level of a black tea with the artistry in craft of a finely-tuned oolong. It infuses the color of blue agave nectar with notes of figs, stone fruit and toasted malts. An enticingly rich and full-bodied cup, the Black Pearl earned the nickname "Brandy Oolong" in its native Taiwan and is often served in a snifter accordingly. Brimming with vitality and vibrance, the Black Pearl rewards the patience of several infusions.
Notes of Agave Nectar, Fig, Toasted Malt.
Dragonwell :: Green
This Dragonwell comes from its original geographical indication, the placid and pristine West Lake of Hangzhou. The style derives its peculiar namesake from a mythical well in the region where a lucky rain-bearing dragon was said to reside. The flat, “blade-style” leaves are the result of painstaking hand-pressing in a heated wok. Our farmer, Mr. Zhen uses the locally popular Qun Ti Zhong cultivar for a soft infusion rich in vegetal and mineral qualities. This lot was harvested April 15th and fired in small batches shortly after plucking to preserve its brilliant green color.
Notes of water chestnut, toasted sunflower seeds and buttered asparagus.
