Cultivating Community Through the Elevation of Coffee Culture

Alabaster Coffee doesn’t merely exist inside the coffee bar.

Some of the ongoing community efforts & partnerships we’re involved in include:

Community Tap:
Each month we partner with a local non-profit organization with a special craft beverage and direct donation from the sale of every drink directly to our monthly partner. Along with matching sponsors, Community Tap at Alabaster has generated nearly $150,000 for local non-profits since 2020!

Direct Trade Sourcing Relationships:
At Alabaster Coffee, we exist to cultivate community through the elevation of coffee culture, and that begins long before coffee reaches our roasterie. Our sourcing is rooted in direct relationships with producers, built on shared values, mutual respect, and a commitment to quality.

By prioritizing direct trade, we’re able to know our partners personally, visit their farms as we’re able, and pay premium prices for coffees we’re proud to serve. This includes long-term relationships with producers like Carolina Posada of Mina Rica Estate in Colombia, Mountain Harvest in Uganda’s Mt. Elgon region, and Lucatelli Coffee in Brazil; all organizations and farms that center sustainability, transparency, and care for their communities.

Many of these collaborations are with women-led farms and initiatives, reflecting our belief that when women are empowered at origin, entire communities benefit. For us, direct trade is not just a sourcing model; it is a way of living out our mission by connecting the people who grow coffee with the people who enjoy it here at home - one cup, and one relationship, at a time.
